First off, a brilliant point on Friday and a great team performance… but it took a lot out of a lot of players.
They put a lot into the game while a lot of them haven’t played a lot of football, so Clarke will freshen it up 100%.
You’ve got to tip your cap to Gunn, who hasn’t had many minutes. He commanded his box well and any goalkeeper who keeps a clean sheet is happy with that.
I wouldn’t mess with the back four too much. If they are all fit and can play I’d keep as is because they were really, really good together.
The balance was very good, defensively limiting Denmark and when we were under pressure, some of the last-ditch tackling, headers, clearances and blocks were really, really good.
But is Hanley – who who immense and needed that – able to go again in such a short time? Hickey – who brings a composure to right-back and a quality on the ball that we’ve been missing – has obviously had no football.
I’d like to see him bring in Ben Gannon-Doak, while I am almost sure Billy Gilmour will start.
I think that was McGinn’s best game in a Scotland jersey for a wee while, and I think he also needed that.
I’d like to see Kieron Bowie get his chance because he’s obviously started the season really, really well with Hibs.
For me, I think he’s probably more of an all-round striker than Che Adams and Lyndon Dykes.
He’s got the goals, the physicality and the link-up but his work-rate is phenomenal as well, so I’d like to see him get his opportunity.
But we’ve seen this before with Clarke. Sometimes you think there’s going to be changes and then there’s not and he keeps things quite similar because he trusts the players that he puts out on the pitch.
But I’d imagine for this one he’ll freshen it up.
