Rangers have completed a season-long loan deal for Brentford left-back Jayden Meghoma.
The 19-year-old England youth international worked under Ibrox head coach Russell Martin at Southampton before moving to the Bees in August 2024.
Following three outings in the EFL Cup, he switched to Preston on loan in January, making 13 starts for the Championship club.
“I know exactly what he brings,” said Russell, who gave Meghoma his senior debut in the FA Cup.
“He is a young player with big potential, real athleticism and a great attitude.
“He is hungry to learn and improve, and I’m confident he’ll thrive in this environment. We’re excited to help him take the next step in his career.”
With the transfer subject to international clearance, Meghoma may not be available in time for Tuesday’s Champions League play-off first leg at home to Club Brugge.
He is Rangers’ 10th summer signing and the third Premier League defender secured on loan, following moves for Max Aarons (Bournemouth) and Nasser Djiga (Wolverhampton Wanderers).
Left-back pair Jefte and Ridvan Yilmaz have both been strongly linked with departures from Rangers, with the latter yet to feature under Martin.
